About PlamoNZ in the time of COVID-19
We do not have a retail space and goods are only handled by 1 or 2 people who are within our 'bubble' at which point it will be left in a secure location outside away from the weather to be collected by couriers.
If you have a specific location or instructions for the safety of the courier delivering your package please enter this in the comments of your order or email plamo.nz@outlook.com

What are the shipping costs?

Our current prices as of July 2023

For orders under $75 shipping is $16, for orders between $75 and $119 shipping is $19 and shipping is free for all orders over $120 to any New Zealand address

(please contact us for RD, Chatam Islands etc)

We also have a tier for those buying Tools, Supplies and Paint which are much smaller, just select the option from the dropdown box at time of checkout.

The shipping rates for these max out at $10

Please note, if you are buying these things along with a kit then the Scale Models rate applies.

International Customers

Unfortunatley I am not currently equipped to take payment or ship to international customers and want to focus on the New Zealand market.

Please include a reference in your payment details (order#, name, email etc).

It may take a couple of days for me to see your payment in my bank account due to bank clearance times, payments made Saturday and Sunday may not show till Tuesday.

Payments to be made with 5 business days unless organized in advance.

**Payment Notice**

 Paypal payments have been suspended

Unfortunately Paypal have made some changes that are of no help to those of us that are not a traditional business and after being in contact many times and not getting anything other than automated responses to my requests, I have had to disable Paypal payments.

I apologize for the inconvenience but I will be working to resolve the issues and in the meantime bank transfers (details in FAQ) are welcome and we will continue to endeavor to get great kits to kiwi scale modelers once the money Paypal have locked down is available.

Trademe

I do list some kits on Trademe but due to the fee's charged there is a slight price increase.

Afterpay

I have been asked by a number of people if I would consider adding Afterpay, the service is not currently available via the website, and the fees charged by Afterpay via Trademe are not insignificant. The fees just for Afterpay are essentially 5% (on top of Trademe's fee's) so to enable Afterpay I need to increase the cost of the kits to help offset this.

I endeavor to supply the cheapest kits and supplies I can which is why I try to minimize the use of 3rd party sites and payment methods.

Laybuy (the traditional way, not the buy now pay later service)

If you are interested we can do a Laybuy for orders over $200 with terms along the lines of below, please contact plamo.nz@outlook.com to discuss options.

Goods will not be sent until final payment is made and we will ask for a larger initial payment and your account details up front to refund you if payments are not made on time

Example terms: 25% of the total order and subsequent payments of at least 15% of the balance paid fortnightly.

A $245 order would require initial payment of $61.25 and fortnightly payments of at least $18.40 (excluding final payment which will be less.)

$61.25 then 6 fortnightly payments of $27.50 and a final payment of $18.75

Buy No, Pay Later Services

We do not currently offer 'Buy Now, Pay Later' services as our goal is to keep prices as low as possible and their fees would limit that.

Site improvements planned

The site is not perfect and below are a list of the changes I am planning on making when time allows. If you have any other suggestions please use the contact page and let me know.
